Dermal fillers are a quick and effective means to smooth out facial wrinkles. It may also be used to achieve fuller lips, for a more sensual look, and to improve definition of the chin and the cheekbones. With temporary fillers and longer-lasting formulation available, results last six months to three years.
What does Dermal Fillers involve?
We offer several types of dermal filler, many with natural ingredients for complete compatibility with the body. It’s even possible to make slight alterations to the shape of the face. Our skin specialist will advise as to the most appropriate treatment, depending on each patient’s requirements.
The procedure involves the injection of a dermal filler, which will vary according to the skin type and the treatment required. In most cases, the dermal filler replaces natural substances found in the skin but that have been damaged by exposure to the elements and the natural ageing process.
Types of Fillers
There are several different kinds of dermal fillers but the most used is Hyaluronic Acid (HA) because:
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs naturally in the body. HA holds water, hydrating and giving volume to the skin. As we get older the reduction of our natural hyaluronic acid diminishes. A simple injection of HA replenishes the lost volume and improves your looks by enhancing your facial profile, creating fuller lips, and smoothing outlines and wrinkles. HA adds volume to your skin without affecting your natural expression. HA is non-permanent and is absorbed naturally overtime- it’s your choice when to have further treatment to maintain the effect.
At CI Cosmetic, we use only premium range dermal fillers. These are the best cosmetic fillers available and have been proven to be safe and effective. Here is a selection of the dermal fillers we use for effective wrinkle reduction:
The Juvederm range of dermal fillers includes the latest hyaluronic acid volumisers. These mimic the effects of naturally occurring collagen by plumping up gaunt areas on cheeks and chin and sculpting more youthful contours. We also use Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra XC (with Lidocaine), Juvederm Ultra Plus, Juvederm Ultra Plus XC, and Voluma for lip enhancement. In India Botox and Juvederm procedures can only be conducted by registered medical practitioners, i.e doctors and not by nurses.
How long will it take?
Treatment sessions last around 15-30 minutes. Although you might see a difference immediately, numbers of sessions required depends on area to be treatment. This will all be discussed at your consultation with our Skin Specialist.
